Irresponsible Indian leadership ignores reality… Keep Impregnating…!?

The Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad recently termed the suggestion by the former Supreme Court Judge V R Krishna Iyer-headed Commission to deny privileges to those families in Kerala who do not follow the two-child norm as “ridiculous”.
What is so ridiculous about trying to contain population in a country which cannot take care of its basic needs?
As Union Health Minister, Azad should know more than anyone else the problems India is facing due to its ever-increasing population.
Isn’t he ridiculing himself by passing such a comment, which clearly show that he cannot foresee the danger of a booming population and the adversities it can have on India and its future?
Is he eligible to be the health minister of the whole nation?
Even the Kerala chief minister did not reject the idea altogether. Instead he said that all aspects of the Women’s Code Bill 2011 will be thoroughly studied and discussed.
As a responsible citizen, and as a leader, Azad should have not made such a comment. We would call it unbecoming of a educated leader.
At some point of time, our leaders will have to take tough decisions, to curtail the population, which is already a big threat to India.
Chanakya’s Arthasashtra is “a book that frequently discloses to a king what calculating and sometimes brutal measures he must carry out to preserve the state and the common good,” Says Roger Boesche.
In today’s world, it is not the king but the leadership and the ministers who have to take these ‘brutal’ decisions in the interest of the country and the world at large.
Are our ministers up to the task?
Do you, as a reader, see the disaster if India does not act upon it fast?

Who’s questioning your right? Just be responsible!

‘Impregnating your own wife? Could land you behind bars’ was a recent post. Here’s one of the comments:
The Govt is not the deciding factor on the no. of children a couple has. That’s a personal consideration a couple has to make. Not the Government!!! Having stated that India is a Democracy, taking away the right of parents to cohabit/procreate without the interference of outside forces, defeats democracy - freedom to act - in a big way.
Well, here’s what I have to say:
Of course, to cohabit and procreate is a person’s right. I’m not denying that. In a democracy you have a lot of freedom—freedom of speech, to practice your religion, to assemble peacefully and protest etc. But any freedom a citizen is entitled to should be taken with responsibility.
Having freedom of speech does not mean you can abuse or slander anyone. That’s why there is the facility of a defamation case in the law. The freedom to practice your religion does not give you the right to be intolerant to other religions. If an assembly of people turns violent, threatening the society, the law has provisions like imposing a curfew. And if a state slips into a disorder and lawlessness, the constitution even has provision for President’s Rule.
It’s when responsible behavior is thrown to the winds that the state/govt has to step in and maintain the peaceful fabric of the society.
Choosing a person to live with is also an individual choice. But is it right to go on a choosing and changing spree? I don’t think so. And so the law considers polygamy/polyandry illegal.
I respect and accept a person’s desire to become a parent. Won’t that desire be satisfied with one, or at the most two children? Will he/she be satiated only if there are five or six, or even a dozen children?
Here, I’ll digress to tell you the story of my house maid. I give her Rs 500 a month for cleaning my house on alternate days. She works in three other households. So she earns Rs 2,000 a month. And if she were to spend the amount of her children—4 of them—it‘s Rs 500 for a child. Now, when she does some extra work at home, I tip her, quite generously. It brings a smile to her face as she says that she can buy a vegetable for dinner today.
Simple fact: Less mouths to feed, the better food you get.
India is facing a serious population explosion issue. The figure 1.26 billion speaks for itself. The challenges that the government faces are about providing food security, education, and employment—just to name three.
We have the world’s highest infant mortality rate, highest number of undernourished children and uneducated/unemployed populace. Ever wondered why?  One main reasons is that we have too many mouths to feed and too many little ones that health care doesn’t reach them.
Now, like my reader commented it’s your prerogative. You can have two or two dozen children. But understand that you are being irresponsible causing a huge burden on the government. If you ask me, It’s not wrong to take tough decisions to lighten this ever-increasing burden.

“Children are God's gift” but “by the sweat of your face you shall eat bread."

Religions and religious organizations have come into the scene with opposition against the recommendations of Justice V.R. Krishna Iyer commission report on ‘Kerala Women’s code bill 2011’. The major opposition came from the religions like Christianity and Islam.
Yes. For them “children are gift of God.” Or “multiply and conquer the earth.”
So produce as many as you can and fill the earth with human beings.
However, all these religious fundamentalists forget the fact that the above mentioned religions also propagate another thing. “By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread.”
These religions or the gods never promised of taking care of the children. They clearly indicated that if you make a child, you are responsible to take good care of it.
So be responsible. Think before you make a child.
What has been happening to India and China is that we just understood the first part of the religious propaganda about children and forgot the second.
Thus, today India and China jointly contribute one third of the world population and making human beings and lives valueless.
Do you think the religious fundamentalist who oppose would come and feed your children?
Do you think, the church, Masjid or Mandir is going to pay a capitation fee for the engineering admission of your son or daughter?
Of course, they will demand an exorbitant capitation fee from you and not the other way.
If the respective religious fundamentalists are so adamant against the population control which is the cause for worthlessness of human lives, should take care of every need of your children.
Understand, you are responsible for the future of the children you create and not the religions or religious fundamentalists.
If you want to give your children good amenities, good education, good job and decent life, be responsible.
Become aware of the country. Be a responsible Indian. Value your human existence.

Impregnating your own wife? Could land you behind bars

KOCHI: This is going to be a tough code of conduct. You can be imprisoned for impregnating your own wife. Worst, you could be branded as a `legally disqualified person'.
This will be a reality if the Kerala Women's Code Bill 2011, submitted to the chief minister by a 12-member committee with Justice V R Krishna Iyer in the chair, is implemented in its letter and spirit.
Read more: "Now, third child can land you in jail in Kerala"
This is the report that appeared in The Times Of India.

Justice Krishna Iyer, a stalwart in legal and social reform movements in Kerala, has put forward a great proposal. We need to understand that population is the cause for most of India's issues--poverty, unemployment, crime--the list is unending.
Look at this. India's population is about 1.26 billion. Out of which 40% is said to be youth. Which converts to about 500 million youth. This is equal to 250 million couple. Now, if 250 million couple are to have two kids each, that would bring in another 500 million over a period of 15-25 years. So our population will rise to 1.76 billion. Remember, during this time there is another generation growing.
Even two kids for a couple will mean that our population is growing at an unbelievably fast pace. We feel that the law should say 'one kid for a couple' and anything more should be taxed.
If the law comes into force, would you be willing to pay an exorbitant amount, let us say rs.50000.00 for your second child?
Only if we bring down population, can we deal with a lot of issues we face today. To attain something good, we have to take tough decisions.
Are you as an Indian ready for it?
Are you willing to pay a tax for a second child you make?
Are you willing to leave the clutches of religions and other superstitions which propagate 'children as God's gift'?
Does this phenomenon bother you?
Are you still happy living as a rs.25 Indian?
Remember, You are a human being -- the most valuable entity on earth.
Claim your worth! Feel your value! Experience it in your life.

Gurgaon Toll Plaza attendant shot dead for just rs. 27

(Courtesy NDTV) Gurgaon: For Umesh Pandey, it was another night spent at work. He was seated in his booth at the toll plaza in Kheri Daula at 12.30 am, when a car pulled up.
The 22-year-old asked the driver of the car for Rs.27-the standard amount needed for cars entering or leaving Gurgaon.
The Keri Daula toll booth is located just a kilometre away from the nearest Haldiram's restaurant, at the border with Manesar.
The driver refused to pay and asked Mr. Pandey to let the car pass through the plaza towards Maneswar. When he refused, someone in the car took out a revolver and shot him in the neck.
For more details read the link below.

Rs.27 cost of an Indian.

Just yesterday in my blog I clearly stated the price of an Indian. Here someone has proved it.
Why, we Indians are degraded? What is the value or worth of a human being? Is it because we have too many population that we don't care for a life?
Who is responsible for this phenomenon? Is it you and me?
When you want to make the next child think about it.
Wake up and act, You Rs.27 rupee worth Indians.
Well. Now that the dollar has touched rs.50, your worth as an Indian is still cheap.
What a pity! What a shame!
Remember, it is Your India, Our India.
Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!

Three Indians equivalent to one liter petrol (rs.25x3 = rs.72.85).

Three Indians equivalent to one liter petrol (rs.25x3=rs.72.85).
Trade three Indians for one liter petrol. Good proportion.
Here is the official data released from the Congress government which says, those who are living just on Rs.32 are not poor people, stated by planning commission in an affidavit in the Supreme Court. The government said, “the new figure of Rs.32 is a new poverty line laid down by Tendulkar Committee and adjusted for price rise.” The urban poverty index is Rs.32 and rural poverty index is Rs.25.
The Congress government wants to hike the petrol price to support the Indian petroleum lobbies who are the richest oil marketing companies in the world. In the same coin Congress is trying to lower the poverty line to a mythical figure to lower the poverty level in the good books rulers.
What a contradiction? What a paradox?
According to a 2005 World Bank estimate, 41.6% of the total Indian population falls below the international poverty line of US$ 1.25 a day. Of course, the reality of poverty index will escalate probably 50% more of the international poverty line which means the real poverty in India will rise approximately to 60%.  We are talking about 700 million people from 1.26 billion Indians as per the census of 2011.
Congress is trying to lower it to show their achievements bypassing the realities, dehumanizing each India by getting away from their responsibilities of providing food, education and health. On the other hand corrupting India every possible way they can. Some examples are Common Wealth games, 2G scam and all other recent scams and land deals which bug every Indian today.
Just think, what do you get for Rs.25? A pavbhaji? A masala dosa?
Can a family of three or four survive on A pavbhaji? Or A masala dosa?
I feel, India is seriously heading towards anarchy. We have already witnessed the death knell of it in the form of Anna Hazare and team. Like what Karl Marx the proletarians will rise against the bourgeoisie of India not for power but for their natural right to survive. If the congress is not looking into it, they are not worthy to rule India. If Opposition is not listening to it, they are not with the people of India. And world’s largest democracy is just an eye-wash to make the rich richer and poor poorer as they have reduced the poor Indians cheaper than a liter of petrol.
So if we can sell the real poor people who are about 700million for a barter of approximately 230 million liter of petrol to oil rich countries.
A mere shame on Indian democracy! Mere shame of Man Mohan Singh government! Mere shame on every political party of the largest democracy of world!
A mere shame on you and me as Indians!
Wake up and act!

'Customer the King' IMPOTENT?

Recently I bought a new mobile phone—Nokia C3. The mix of touchscreen and keypad caught my interest. The model was newly-launched, the shopkeeper told me, as he rattled on about the features. I was happy with it till the day I woke up and found that the touchpad was not working. Now, if the touchscreen doesn’t work, it means I cannot unlock the phone. And I can’t do anything except answer calls and disconnect them.
Work and the rains in Pune prevented me from heading to the Nokia Care Centre for a couple of days. Finally, yesterday my friend took me on his bike to a Care Centre. The lady at the Centre took her own sweet time to ‘kick start’ her system—she had to ‘kick’ the archaic machine with the help of another colleague.
After a half-an-hour wait, the lady asked me about the issue, and handed over the phone to a techie, who sat behind a screen. Another 20-minute wait. The lady then calls me and says that the touchpad has to be replaced and that it would take two weeks. Two weeks??? Just to replace the touchpad??? Beats logic.
“You just have to replace this screen with a new one. Why on earth should it take two weeks? I asked. The smile and the sweet tone of her voice were replaced instantly by a frown and a grim voice. “That’s the time it will take. Or else you can take it elsewhere,” she said.
Customer is King? My foot!
I couldn’t leave the phone there for two weeks as I didn’t have a spare handset. The need was mine, so I tried to cajole the lady to give me a spare set, while they fixed my handset. ‘No, not possible,” she barked.
Customer is King? Don’t think so!
My friend suggested that I buy a basic model while they repair mine. But then it kills the purpose of having warranty, I countered. So, we headed out to another Care centre. There was a huge crowd waiting at this Centre. I took the token with number 49 and stood at the waiting lounge. The Centre had 6 counters for customer care officers and only three were operating even when a huge crowd of about 60 people were waiting.
Usually I carry a book with me, since a ‘wait’ is most likely to happen anywhere you go in India. This time I hadn’t. So I killed time by reading the posters stuck on the wall and the backside of the form which I had to fill out.
An hour and three cigarettes later, the magic number 49 appeared on the screen and I rushed to my designated counter. The same routine followed. And the lady said, “Two weeks sir.”
“Why two weeks? Replacing a touchscreen shouldn’t take more than half an hour? I asked, my irritation coming out very clearly.
“That’s true sir. The problem is that we don’t have a replacement screen. It will take about two weeks before another batch comes here,” she replied.
So, that was the issue. So, nothing else to do, but to wait it out. As I stood up from the counter, I asked the lady to flip over the form that I had filled out. She looked at me in surprise. “Turn it over, and read the headline,” I insisted. She did that and turned beetroot red with embarrassment.
Here’s what she saw:

Do you really expect such an error from a brand like NOKIA?
Is Nokia IMPOTENT or the people working there IMPOTENT or
Are they making the 'customer the king' IMPOTENT?
